Favorite Foods/Tea Gifts
Advent Tea calendar -I gave my daughters Advent tea calendars with herbal teas. I loved it and wanted one myself. My sister sent me the same one I gifted my girls. I was so excited and it was so fun to drink a new tea every day from the calendar. Get it for the tea lover but order now from Amazon.
Hibiscus Tea- Buy a jar of hibiscus flowers from a specialty food store or coop. Add a few dried flowers to a cup and it’s the perfect tea. This is good for blood pressure and blood vessels. Add honey or stevia to sweeten or drink it plain hot or cold.
Cranberry Tea Basket– Cranberries, cinnamon sticks, cardamom, cloves, and oranges with a recipe to make the tea. It makes the house smell good. Give with a quart jar and a lid. This tea has Lots of health benefits. Here is the recipe for the tea.
Brazil nuts in a Jar. You can get the best nuts at a good price from Costco or Sam’s. Buy Brazil nuts because you only need to eat 2 a day to get your selenium and most of your magnesium. Selenium is important for thyroid function. Who can’t eat 2 a day- unless you have a chewing or swallowing problem? They make a great snack when you are hungry but 2 is all you need. Your gut loves them too.
Dried herb/seasoning basket for the cook. The spices/seasonings in the picture below are my favorites from Trader Joe’s. This is a practical gift!
Popcorn Basket- is perfect for the popcorn lover. Get some popcorn- Amish style, yellow or white, and some fun seasonings you may want to add. My fave is pickle seasoning as well as ranch seasoning from Trader Joe’s.
Books for gifts
Cookbooks- Scrappy Foods and Plant You are plant-based food cookbooks. They are great because we all need to eat more plant foods in our meals. Why not get a new cookbook to lead you in the right direction? Pictures of all ingredients in the recipes. I gave both of these cookbooks to my family for their birthdays.
Back to School, Back to You is a non-fiction book. I was a collaborative author in a chapter. There are 10 Authors for this book. This book came out in August and is a good book for a mom with kids from kindergarten to College. Get it for the mom on your list. It’s all about tips for moms from Moms who have been there. The Blessed Life Devotional is a devotional book I received as a gift. I loved it so much that I purchased this devotional as a gift. It is all about the teachings and miracles of Jesus in the book of Matthew. A lot to chew on each day.
“If I Were You” and “The Wish Book Christmas” books by Lynn Austin. My sister gave these books to me for my birthday this year and they were so good, I am recommending that you give them to yourself or someone else. The Christmas book continues the story, so you must read them both. Lynn Austin is a historical Christian Fiction Author.
Games
These are some fun games that are easy to grab and go and play with a group. They are perfect as a small gift or to buy for yourself and play. Left Center Right Game- you can play this with a large group, Toss Up- 2-6 people for all ages. Sounds Fishy works better for a group game.
Homemade Gifts
Calendar- Make a calendar with pictures for yourself or as a gift for your family to enjoy pictures all year. It’s a nice way to scrapbook without scrapbooking. I make mine on Snapfish.com when they have sales but you can also make one on Shutterfly.com
Canvas Photo- Take a special photo from the year and turn it into a canvas. I took a picture of my girls and made it into a canvas for myself. I smile every time I see it. You can do this on Snapfish or Shutterfly.
Homemade Laundry detergent. Make your college student a year’s supply of laundry detergent in a laundry basket. This Detergent doesn’t have junk in it. The recipe for the detergent is at this link.
Shop Local
You can also shop at Local boutiques, Farmer’s Markets, local shops, and Etsy. These are great ways to support your local economy.
