Healthy Christmas Party Foods

It’s time to bring an appetizer or treat to a Christmas or New Year’s Eve party.  Make it a healthy dish you can share and know you won’t feel horrible after the holidays.   Here are my Healthy Christmas Party Foods.

Healthy Party Food Ideas

Taco Bake Dip can be eaten as an appetizer; sometimes, my husband and I eat it for a meal.   The Bake is layered and heated, and then you can eat it as a dip with tortilla chips or eat it like a slice of lasagna.  Spread it into a tortilla and roll it up for a meal to use up the leftovers. Sub Turkey for beef or make it meatless.

Taco Dip

  • 1 ½ cups shredded Mexican blend cheese
To add to the top
  • 1 diced tomato or ½ cup sliced cherry tomatoes
  • 1 small diced avocado
  • 2 TBSP cotija cheese (if you don’t have it will be fine)

A Healthy Treat with Nutrients

This bark will give you lots of nutrients and antioxidants to improve your health while having a treat.  Pomegranates have Vitamin C, potassium, magnesium, and fiber.   Pistachios are loaded with magnesium, Vitamin B6, iron, and Vitamin C.  Both of these have many health benefits. And of course, chocolate has a plethora of health benefits too. This is for the chocolate lovers.   So good and super easy.   No measurements just as much as you want to make.

Dark Chocolate Pomegranate Pistachio Bark Recipe

Spinach Dip

Rye Crips and Greek Yogurt Spinach Artichoke Dip

I love rye crips from Wasa.  They have 2-3 grams of fiber and are crunchy. Some are sourdough and even gluten-free.  Finn Crisp is another brand, but you need to break it apart.  Serve these with Greek Yogurt Spinach Artichoke Dip or buy some from Aldi.  I made the dip for high school guys a few weeks ago and one of the guys loved the dip so much that he almost ate it all himself. Hands up this recipe is a healthy Christmas party food.

Greek yogurt Spinach Artichoke Dip Recipe

  • 6 ounces fresh spinach
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 can sliced water chestnuts
  • 1 jar marinated artichoke hearts
  • 2 cups plain Greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup parmesoan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • pinch of salt
  • pinch of pepper

Wilt the fresh spinach in a pan with olive oil on the stovetop. As it wilts the liquid will come out and squeeze. Add spinach to a bowl.   On a cutting board chop the water chestnuts and artichoke hearts and add to the bowl.  Stir in the Greek yogurt, ¼ cup parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
